« This courageous project addresses a complex reality marked by historical violence against Indigenous peoples and the current threat posed by transnational mining companies that are decimating the land and the social structure. Through a poetic exploration of coming-of-age, created in collaboration with the local community, Benitez honors the resilience of the resistance movement and immerses us in the sensibilities of Shuar culture. »
